​Janet Duff Gardens

Over three years, from 2007 to 2010 we traveled to South Africa as volunteers with the Niall Mellon trust.  We created community gardens in the townships . We worked at different schools creating play areas for the children. We also worked on starting community vegetable and fruit gardens and met with parents and community leaders along with suppliers and came up with plans for a maintenance programme. Our experience was very humbling.
